SilkPeel™ Dermalinfusion™ is a new format dermabrasion that provides non-invasive exfoliation and the delivery of skin specific topical solutions under pressure. Unlike traditional technologies that rely on messy crystals or other irritating particles, SilkPeel™ Dermalinfusion™’s diamond tip head evenly abrades the skin at a depth of 30 microns, exfoliating damaged skin cells while delivering targeted topical solutions deep into the skin.
An arsenal of uniquely formulated solutions for acne, aging, and pigmentation enable the practitioner to customize treatments according to their patient’s needs, offering immediate results with no downtime. A newly developed body wand similarly allows the operator to treat a range of skin types and conditions associated with the body.
Microdermabrasion also encourages the production of a new underlying layer of skin cells with higher levels of collagen and elastin, which further improves your skin’s appearance.
The treatment is performed with no discomfort. You can resume regular activity after your appointment.
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Age spots or brown spots or other superficial blemishes
• Blackheads
• Enlarged pores
• Some acne scarring
Immediately following a microdermabrasion session the skin will feel smoother and have improved texture.
For most patients, a minimum of six treatments is recommended. Many patients decide to have a monthly microdermabrasion treatment as part of their regular skincare practice.
Any area of the body could benefit from microdermabrasion treatment, therefore, it could be performed on the entire face, neckline, neck, stomach, and thighs.
In general, good microdermabrasion candidates are people who are in good physical health, with realistic expectations for the outcome of their treatment.
– People who do not have enough available time to undergo more invasive skin resurfacing treatments such as laser skin resurfacing, or chemical peels may also be good candidates for microdermabrasion.
– People who do not want to put off their outdoor activities like golf, skiing, tennis
– People who have active herpes lesions, open sores or lesions, active acne or severe rosacea, dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema, lupus and people using Accutane within the last 6 months, SHOULD NOT have microdermabrasion.
As the skin is very sensitive to sun exposure following microdermabrasion it is important to use sunscreen. As the microdermabrasion dries the skin temporarily it’s important to moisturize the skin.
