You should not use any cleansers, moisturizers or make up on your skin the morning of the appointment. We also recommend that you avoid sunlight for three weeks before your dermaplaning treatment.

Dermaplaning by Dr. Hicks-Graham does not cause any unwanted side effects. In a few cases, patients noticed a reddening to their skin that lasted only 24 hours. You should avoid sunlight for at least one week after your dermaplaning treatment.
