Introductions!+(Mary Kay Timewise Microdermabrasion Review)

I guess it’s important to begin things properly, and that would be to say who I am! Call me Jay, and I really only created this blog because (I myself) am a true believer in online reviews. So I thought why not make my own? I don’t normally buy tons of products, but I have built up quite a supply of things I love, hate, and am partial too. Being a mom to an almost one year old, I don’t really have the luxury of buying things just to buy them! So when I purchase something, I have high hopes that not only will I love this product, but that it will benefit me rather than hurt my wallet! Of course this doesn’t always work out, sometimes I find myself wasting money on something I will only use once and then shuffle to the back of my shelves never to be seen again. So here I am! Clicking away at the keys on my laptop while my baby sleeps and my husband watches TV, ah, the life of a mom! So, drum-roll please!! To begin my review I will start with one I LOVE:

Mary Kay Timewise Microdermabrasion Set

I cannot express how much I love this product! I am definitely a skin-care product kind of girl, nothing is more important than good skin! The way I see it, before you can make a beautiful painting, you need a nice clean canvas; in case you don’t catch my drift, I mean our faces! I have hunted for a good exfoliator, I’ve tried many, and none have left me more pleased than this set! The Mary Kay website claims:

Okay, so for me, the results were instant, I am only 22 so I don’t have any wrinkles yet, but I did see fresher skin, and my face felt much smoother after use. The exfoliating part is unlike any drug-store exfoliator I’ve used. Now some say they get the same results that they would from using Aveeno or another facial scrub, but personally, I felt that my skin was much cleaner and fresher with the Mary Kay product. Using about a nickel size amount, I massage into my skin, the instructions say for 1-2 minutes, but I simply don’t have the patience. I massage for about 30 seconds and then rinse, instantly my skin feels smoother (I then follow with a cleanser). With any microdermabrasion/exfoliator, it is recommended that you use it twice a week, but I have used it almost every night so far. I will probably switch to twice a week now though. Step two is a serum, the site says “Step 2: Replenish separates the set from the competition. It’s a rich serum, containing vitamins, antioxidants and anti-irritants”. I use this at night, after my skin care routine. It leaves my skin silky soft and smooth, it’s not oily and doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or slimey.

The price for this set is, for me, its only down-fall. Priced at $55 on the Mary Kay website, for me this is not something I could easily purchase when I run out. Not only because of the cost, but because I can’t just run down to Target, Ulta, or Walmart to repurchase. Besides the costly price (to me this is costly, I am sure there are much more expensive products out there!) and the having to order online (I’m not a fan of online shopping), I would rate this product a ten. It also does not list ingredients to these products, at least I can’t find them on the website lol!, so that may be a concern to some of you! But over all, I do love this product. It leaves my skin soft and smooth and fresh looking, my complexion is much clearer and my blackheads not as HEY LOOK AT ME I’M A BLACKHEAD, I will definitely be keeping this product in my skin care routine.
