What Is An Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a solution that is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. This exposes new, regenerated skin that has a smoother, fresher appearance.

What Issues Does A Chemical Peel Help Correct?

It is most commonly used to help:

– Age and brown spots

We currently offer three medical grade chemical peels from SkinCeuticals, each with its own unique formula. Your Viva Day Spa skin care specialist will recommend the approach that is best for you based on your skin type and desired outcome.

ADVANCED CORRECTIVE PEEL
This is the deepest, most advanced chemical peel we offer at Viva Day Spa. The 30-minute Advanced Corrective Peel works in the lowest (basal) layer of the epidermis, where live tissue, pigmentation, and age spots dwell.

Its unique combination of ingredients sloughs off even the most stubborn pigmentation, delivers very predictable results, and is safe for all skin types. This treatment will cause your skin to peel, so you should expect up to 5-7 days of social downtime.

MICROPEEL
This two-step Micropeel procedure combines Dermaplaning (skin resurfacing), Skin Sensitive Solution or Glycolic 20%/30% chemical peel solution, and post healing medical grade products.

This 30-minute treatment may be customized to accommodate all skin types. The Micropeel is ideal for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, texture, laxity, dullness, and skin imperfections. This is an instant gratification peel with no social downtime.

MICROPEEL PLUS
This medical grade treatment provides a unique one-step, self-neutralizing chemical exfoliation designed to reduce acne and help correct environmental skin damage.

It is formulated with a combination of salicylic acid (Salicylic 20% Or 30%) to refine pores and help reduce the appearance of acne and glycolic acid to aid in the improvement of rough texture, blotchiness, and uneven skin tone.

One week following a Micropeel Plus treatment, your skin will undergo its renewal process — light to moderate peeling may occur for up to 3 days. This is a great treatment for active acne, cystic acne, and acne scarring.

How Many Chemical Peels Will I Need?

It depends on your skin, your desired outcome and the chemical peel. Your Viva Day Spa aesthetic expert will recommend a treatment plan that is best for you. For optimal results, we typically recommend:

– Advanced Corrective Peel: A series of 3 treatments every 4 weeks
– Micropeel: A series of 6 treatments every 4 weeks
– Micropeel Plus: A series of 6 treatments every 4 weeks

How Much Does A Chemical Peel Cost?

Each 30-minute Advance Corrective Peel costs $195. Micropeel and Micropeel Plus treatments cost $150 each.
