Microdermabrasion is mechanical exfoliation in which the uppermost layer of dead skin cells are removed. There are two techniques of performing microdermabrasion – crystal and diamond-tip.
Diamond-tip microdermabrasion achieves the same results with less discomfort and without the crystal residue at the end of the treatment.

Is Microdermabrasion safe? Are there any Microdermabrasion risks?
Microdermabrasion must not be confused with Dermabrasion. Dermabrasion is done in the doctor’s office and may involve anesthesia.
Microdermabrasion is less aggressive than Dermabrasion and does not involve anesthesia. Microdermabrasion gently removes outer layer of the skin and is thus very safe when performed by a licensed and knowledgeable professional.
Microdermabrasion is easiest and most effective anti-aging treatments. It softens fine lines and wrinkles, helps to smooth coarsely textured skin, decreases the appearance of scarring, decreases pore size, and reduces superficial hyper-pigmentation, also known as age spots.
Microdermabrasion makes high-tech skin care products penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin and help build collagen, which gives skin its youthful appearance.
For the best results we recommended a series of microdermabrasion treatments based on your skin type and condition. A typical protocal is six treatments about 10 to 14 days apart.
With Microdermabrasion there is less down time than with dermabrasion. Skin is temporarily pink but fully recovers within 24 hours.
Crystal microdermabrasion can be uncomfortable, especially around the sensitive tissue of the mouth and nose, but it should not be painful.
Diamond-tip microdermabrasion uses similar vacuum technology and hand-held wand as crystal microdermabrasion, but there aren’t any crystals moving through the tip. The diamond tip itself exfoliates the skin and the vacuum whisks the dead skin away. The diamond tips of the wand vary in shape and roughness. The esthetician chooses the right tip for your skin type and condition.
