Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure able to instantly renew the skin with no downtime. The Diamond Tome, which is the newest in microdermabrasion technology, effectively removes the top dead cell layer of skin to reveal a softer, smoother and more radiant complexion. Microdermabrasion can improve the appearance of sun-damage, age spots, fine lines, superficial wrinkles, crow’s feet, light acne scars, and other imperfections.
Microdermabrasion can be particularly beneficial for individuals with oily or acneic skin, mature or dehydrated skin, and anyone with a dull, “lifeless” complexion. The procedure may be performed on all ages and skin types, though it may not be appropriate for patients with severe rosacea.
This simple in-office procedure differs from traditional dermabrasion and only takes about fifteen minutes to complete. It is a painless treatment and does not require anesthesia. Though the skin might be slightly pink shortly after your treatment, clients are able to return to normal activities after the treatment. Optimal results are achieved with a series of Microdermabrasions, often ranging from six to ten. Microdermabrasion can also be very beneficial as a pre-treatment to prepare the skin for a chemical peel during the same visit.
