Microdermabrasion has been around for many years but recently, advances in the technology of the treatment and increased publicity has caused a huge boom in its popularity. At The Ocean Rooms it is one of our most popular treatments, with excellent results that our clients love!

So what is Microdermabrasion? How does it work? And why do you need to book a course now?!

Microdermabrasion is a safe, pain free system of intense exfoliation using ultra fine crystals that resurface and rejuvenate the skin. The crystals gently remove dead skin cells layer by layer, revealing the fresh and glowing skin underneath. The crystals works on the hard to reach areas with no damage to the skin due to their irregular shape and tiny size. The crystals themselves are made from Aluminium Oxide, a naturally occurring mineral that is sterile and non – toxic.

The treatment stimulates the circulation and promotes increased blood flow to the face. Production of collagen and elastin is stimulated which results in naturally firmer and more youthful looking skin.

Microdermabrasion can be used for all skins types and all skin colours. There is zero risk of allergic reaction and you are able to continue your normal day after the treatment as there is no extreme long lasting redness to the skin. There are instant results from the first treatment, although a course is recommended.
